  • What Is The Thoughtful Classroom?

    Any teacher who graduated from a teacher preparation program is aware of Howard Gardner’s theories surrounding multiple intelligences.  Additionally, most teachers have some knowledge of theories surrounding learning styles (such as those by David Kolb).  Over the last several decades, researchers and educators have used these theories as a foundation or “starting point” in order to research and develop practical strategies that teachers can use in their classrooms on a daily basis.  THAT is what The Thoughtful Classroom is.  Based on decades of work by Harvey Silver and Richard Strong, The Thoughtful Classroom combines thirty-five years of research and more than thirty years of practice to form one comprehensive professional development program.
